Ages: 7-10 (we do also accept 6 year olds who are close to their 7th birthday)

When: 9.30am-1pm on Sundays during Term Time

Where: Queensbridge School, Queensbridge Road, B13 8QB

Cost: £175 per term, £135 for siblings booked at the same time (before the Priority Booking Dates – 1st December, 1st March and 1st July for the respective terms). Taster sessions are £10 and if you decide you’d like to continue with the term, this is taken off the remaining balance. We do also have our Subsidy Fund to help families with affordability.

Tutor: Stage1 is currently run by the brilliant Frankie, who is a third year Acting student at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Older members of Stage2 also assist in the workshop each term,

What happens in sessions?

Each week, Stage1 have lots of fun starting off by playing games with their friends. They then move onto drama-specific games, helping to build both their skills and confidence. Stage1 then focus in on a specific drama skill for the week and do lots of exploratory exercises to develop their performane skills. They then have time to work together to create a mini performance to share with their peers at the end of the session. We then put together our favourite performances for the end of term Sharings, where parents get to come in and watch the amazing work their children have been doing.

Moving up to Stage2

Once a member outgrows Stage1, they can move right up into Stage2. The Stage1 children get lots of interaction with our older members on Sundays and at Social Events, so they really feel like a part of the overall company. When they move up, they can choose to take part in one of our Award-Winning, Five-Star Productions, or we also always have fun workshop options, similar to Stage1, where they can continue to develop their confidence and skills in a more informal setting.
