Acting & Devising
Monday – Lauren Brine (Acting and Devising)
A great start to the week as Lauren runs a day filled with fun and exciting approaches to acting! You’ll be playing lots of games – all her favourites from her time in Stage2 and beyond, that she can’t wait to share with you. Join her for a day of acting exercises, devising workshops and story making!
Round the World
Tuesday – Krrish Mehta (Round the World)
We are delighted to welcome back the multi-talented Krrish – tutor, actor, writer – to share some of his favourite creative forms. Build up physical storytelling skills through Kabuki (out of the ordinary!) Theatre and elements of Bollywood Dance.

Wednesday – John Godbold (Read all about it))
Our ever popular/often extremely messy making day – led by John Godbold, ex Stage2 staff member, and now on the Board. John will take a day on constructing with newspaper; good for making costumes, head-dresses, masks, dens, 3D structures, wrapping chips, anything really…
Games & Improv
Thursday – Louis Delaney (Games and Improv)
A firm fixture on the Stage2 staff – workshop leader extraordinaire – Louis has years of experience as a play worker in Birmingham and Brighton, working with young people of all ages. This workshop will be filled with games, fun and endless silliness (and possibly a shadow puppet).
Movement & Mime
Friday – Open Theatre (Movement and mime)
We are delighted to welcome back the acclaimed practitioners from the inclusive Open Theatre Company (opentheatre.co.uk) to teach you loads of basics – hints, tips and tricks as they explore all kinds of non-verbal communication and physical theatre, to unlock your creativity.
Pic 'n' Mix!
Open to ANYONE aged 7-21 with absolutely no previous experience required! Just come down, have fun and make friends!
We are delighted to be offering our ever-popular ‘Pic ‘n’ Mix’ Summer School again this year, featuring a range of varied workshops and activities, with a different practitioner each day! Days will involve acting, writing, making, music and much more…
This option is open to absolutely anyone and will be suitable for all ages and experience levels. You can do the whole week or any combination of days!
Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre
Get ready for an explosive, high-energy week as our Performances Manager; Mark Shaun, returns to his roots to lead a musical masterclass! With a massive Musical Theatre portfolio of over 30 lead roles and 8 directorial credits, Mark is bringing over a decade of stage-tested expertise directly to you. This fast-paced, intensive course dives deep into vocal power and physical storytelling, exploring iconic hits from every era of musical theatre. Lauren Brine will also be coming in to add fantastic choreography to some numbers!
This is your chance to truly own the stage – while we’ll be building powerhouse ensemble numbers, solos are completely optional – so you can shine at your own comfort level! Everything we learn builds toward an informal showcase for friends and family on the Friday evening.
Because we are staging a performance in just five days, full attendance is essential – at Stage2 we work as a true ensemble, and every rehearsal is a vital piece of the puzzle. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or a total newcomer, come join us for a week of pure creative magic!

How to Book
Fees are £30 per day or £125 for the week (whole week only for the Musical Theatre course).
Current Members – You can book by cash/cheque/card at Stage2 on a Sunday in the Summer Term.
New Members – Simply email info@stage2.org and then we will give you some more information and get you to fill in a Registration Form before booking.
Everyone – You can use our PayPal page to make payments for the Summer Schools. Please note there has to be a small Admin Fee for PayPal payments, so the fees are as follows:
1 Day – £31.50, 2 Days – £63, 3 Days – £95, 4 Days – £125, 5 days – £130

Remember, at the time of booking, you must state which days you will be doing if you are doing Pic ‘n’ Mix. If you are doing Musical Theatre, then you can only sign up for the whole week.
At Stage2, it is very important to us that finance isn’t a barrier for young people to access the Arts. That is why we have a fully functional Subsidy Fund, where people can claim full or part subsidies for Stage2 activities.
