All new members to Stage2 also get a Mentor buddy in their first term to help them out with navigating all of our exciting opportunities and making friends.
Stage1: 9.30am-1pm
Stage1 will continue in the morning slot, doing the same lovely mix of games and exercises. This group is for 7–11-year-olds, but if you know any 6-year-olds who would like to join, please tell us…! Stage1 is designed so that everyone can have fun and make friends, whilst building confidence and drama skills! You will then work towards producing a fabulous Sharing at the end of term, showcasing everything you have learnt to relatives and friends!
Wendy & Peter Pan (Cast, Crew & Chorus): 9.30am-1pm
Wendy & Peter Pan
By Ella Hickson
Wendy & Peter Pan, is an adaptation of J.M Barrie’s much loved story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up, told from the perspective of Wendy. Acclaimed playwright, Ella Hickson’s adaptation holds all of the whimsy of the classic tale, but brings it up to date with modern language and ideas. Wendy, accompanied by her brothers John and Michael, chooses to join Peter Pan in an awfully big adventure to rediscover the key to her parents’ lost happiness. Along the way she will discover the secrets of the Lost Boys, defeat Captain Hook and realise what it means to grow up.
Our adaptation will be a high energy, theatrical adventure that will take us from a 1908 London townhouse to the shores of Neverland!
Morning Workshop - Friends & Fun! : 9.30am-1pm
Friends & Fun is our workshop option that’s all about having a great time during the Summer Term. Each week will be packed with games – some drama-based, some just for fun – all designed to help you relax, laugh, and enjoy being together. Brought back by popular demand (especially for the busy exam term!), this option is perfect if you’re looking for a break from school while staying connected with friends. There’s no performance element and no end-of-term Sharing, so there’s no pressure or long-term commitment – just turn up and enjoy! As before, Ryan will introduce an exciting theme for the term, giving us a playful framework to explore brand new games, as well as enjoy the Stage2 favourites.
General Drama- Storytelling: 1.30-5pm
Louis Delaney is continuing with us to run General Drama for this term. This term we will be focusing on different approaches to tell a story; from creative writing, to using masks, to dance. As well as expanding our knowledge of stories from around the world, we will be looking at the structure of stories and how we can adapt them. Throughout, we will be playing games and trying new exercises, as we build our confidence and make new friends. This option will be a very useful experience for those taking performance exams of any kind, as well as being fantastic fun and expanding everyone’s repertoires. We may even look at the possibility of group LAMDA exams in a future term. Highlights will be shown to relatives and friends in the Sharings at the end of term.
Wendy & Peter Pan (Cast & Crew) : 1.30-5pm
Show rehearsals continue into the afternoon with cast and crew. (Chorus members who would like to continue all day are welcome to do so)
Are you new to Stage2 and want a trial before committing?
Why not do a ‘Taster for a Tenner’? All you do is pay £10 and then if you decide to commit to us, you just pay the remainder of the fees the following week. To book your Taster, email markshaun.walsh@stage2.org.
Fees
Fees for Stage2 for the term are £180 (£185 on PayPal) per member, and £140 (£145 on PayPal) for any additional siblings booked at the same time, if you pay by 1st March 2026, after which they go up to £190 (£150). These can be paid cash/cheque either at Stage2 on a Sunday, or posted through the door of 12 Valentine Road, B14 7AN.
To pay on PayPal, use the button on this page. Bear in mind that to pay on PayPal, we need to charge a £5 Admin Fee due to the charges from PayPal. So if you are paying for one child, it will be £185 and for two children will be £325 BEFORE 1st July. After 1st July, it will be £195 for one child and £345 for 2 children. If the £5 Admin charge is not made, we will ask for it in a follow-up payment.
We do also offer a Taster for a Tenner, whereby you pay just £10 for your very first session, and then pay the remaining balance the following week if you decide to commit to the rest of the sessions. The remaining balance will depend on when you book – so if you book before 1st March, the discounted price will still be honoured. This can be done using the PayPal button on this page.
Additionally, we are the only Youth Theatre in the Midlands to have a fully operational Subsidy Fund that is inclusive for anyone who requires it. It is so important to us that finances aren’t a barrier to young people getting involved in the Arts, so please visit our Subsidy Fund page to find out more information and download an application form. We encourage you to contribute what you can, but both part and full subsidies are available. Please also feel free to contact Mark at markshaun.walsh@stage2.org, Liz at liz.light@stage2.org 07951122932 to discuss this.
Please also note we do charge a £5 booking fee for online bookings, included in the price on the PayPal button.
How to Book
New members – make sure you fill in an enquiry form to register your interest and ask any questions to Mark before booking. Once you have paid, you will be sent a Registration Form to fill out.
Payment can be made via PayPal (using the button on this page) or by dropping off cash/a cheque (in a clearly labelled envelope stating your child’s name and a contact number/email) through the Stage2 Office – 12 Valentine Road, Kings Heath, B14 7AN.
