Stage1 is my favourite activity but this term I am in Stage2 because I got a part in Spoonface Steinberg!
I was only 7 years old when I joined Stage1 and I joined when it first started, I was the second one to join ( I am very accurate). At Stage1 we play loads of fun acting games to help build our confidence. One of my favourite games is 'park bench' we pretend to be people meeting each other on a park bench. You can be whatever character you want and talk to whoever is left on the bench when it's your turn. When Billy, the Tutor sends the next person, you have to make up an excuse to leave preferably in the same character.
The biggest rule at Stage1 and at Stage2 is that no one is ever left out.
When I was at Arts Fest I worked on the Stage2 stall. I was really excited because I had never done it before. It was great fun because I was the youngest there, everyone was praising me, all the big people were there too. You would be really surprised how many people enjoy acting these days; 100's of people and their families were extremely into it and Marissa (one of the older people in Stage2) and I spoke to them. I am proud of helping, so this term we have 24 members in Stage1 -the largest group ever in the four terms it's been running.
I have had such a great time at Stage1 I hope you will too |
