Information: I first heard about Stage2 through my step-sister. My family went to see shows she was in like Shadow of a Gunman, Lord of the Flies and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, then I decided to join.

On the first day I went there I wasn’t too sure about it. There were lots of people who seemed to know exactly what they should be doing, and it felt like I didn’t fit in. But when I came back the next week, everyone was asking how I was and being friendly and fun, I felt more a part of something. A company, a family. It’s been easy to make lots of great friends, which I hope will be the same for many years to come.

So far I’ve been in two shows, Shakers and Romeo and Juliet. I love the whole build up, from getting the scripts on the second week to performing on the last night, it’s just magical. It’s such an amazing thing to be a part of. I especially enjoy the Balti we go on after the last performance! As well as shows I’ve taken part in workshops like general drama and the fallible lecture. Each one has been very interesting and taught me loads about acting, but also more general life skills and things that can help with school. Mainly they’re just heaps fun!

I’ve also helped to market Stage2 at Artsfest. We went around in groups and handed out leaflets. I’m devastated I haven’t managed to go on any of the distributing days yet. I think at Stage2 you should go for everything you possibly can, and there’s no doubt you’ll enjoy doing it!

Every member of this remarkable young team brims with bubbling commitment.
