Information: I first heard about Stage2 at my old drama group after I found one of the leaflets on the notice board and the Crescent Theatre. I was immediately impressed by the achievements and the exciting images of past productions that I decided to join there and then! I felt welcome as soon as I started my first day at the intro session. The Mentor Buddy Scheme really helped me feel comfortable and apart of the company. My first term was in James and the Giant Peach. I hit the ball rolling as a chorus member and learnt so much about the world of theatre for example theatre checklists, get ins and get outs, dress and technical rehearsals and not to mention just how professional a Stage2 production is.
I also took up LAMDA in my first term after reading about the exams on the website. It is such a valuable experience to work with a trained Stage2 LAMDA tutor, I am currently doing my Grade 4 and am constantly learning new exciting acting techniques and would recommend it to anyone who is interested. The LAMDA showcase is also an exciting opportunity to perform the speeches that you have been working on and also to research possible audition speeches for the future.

In my second term I was in Romeo and Juliet as a chorus member. Working on the main stage at the Crescent Theatre and being apart of such a huge scale production, complete with an amazing set, costumes and props was exhilarating.

This term I decided to explore the different areas of Stage2 and chose to do the Technical Course. It is a fantastic opportunity to get experience in working around a theatre and teaches you what exactly is involved in bringing a production to life. This is important as I am interested in doing something like this alongside acting in the future.
I plan to audition for next term’s production ‘Picasso’s Women’ and to continue to take Stage2 in my stride. It is an amazing company full of fantastic talented people, and I have made some of the most interesting, friendly and down to earth friends. I am always trying to get people I know that are interested in drama to join, because I know that Stage2 will change their life for the better. My only regret is that I didn’t join earlier!!

This is Stage2 at their best - drawing out the talents of young actors to a level that is utterly compelling and even astounding.
