Information: I first joined Stage2 when one of my best friends did, and she seemed to really enjoy it so I joined the next term. I was really nervous, but I felt a valued member instantly. There are so many things that I’ve loved about Stage2 so far, but my all time favourite two have to be becoming part of the Mentoring Scheme, and being cast in a show. This term is my second time in the cast, (I’m in Year Of The Monkey) and I absolutely love it. It’s pushing me, but that’s why I love it so much. The first time I was cast was in The Permanent Way in my second term, and I was so shocked that I was picked after auditioning because I didn’t think that I could ever do anything like that. But I did! And I’ve never looked back. I think this was a turning point, as I really got bitten by the Theatre Bug and realised that I wanted to take it as far as I could, hopefully to a professional level. I started on the Mentoring Scheme this year, and I’ve learnt so much from it already when I’ve only been on it for such a short amount of time! I’m so happy to become a Mentor, I think the Mentors really help new members of the company and I hope that I can make as much impact on someone as my Mentor Buddy did on me. In the future, I want to get more involved within Stage2, so that I can get the most as I possibly can out of it. Stage2 has given me the confidence to become who I really am. I owe a lot to the company, and the people within it who have helped me so much.
