I joined Stage2 when I found an advert for it whilst at the dentist. I had wanted to find a drama class that gave good experience, yet was not too expensive, and I had been looking around for them for quite a while. I had a look at the Stage2 website to see exactly what went on, find out about Stage2 morals and the amount of choice given in the company, and it seemed to fit the bill for everything I wanted, including reasonable price, so booked straight away.
I was motivated to join Stage2 because for the past few years my dream job has been to be an actress. I wanted to get lots more experience before I was old enough to start college, and therefore try to join drama school. I joined Stage2 in the Autumn Term 2009, in which I took part in Stage2’s 100th show, Twelfth Night, as a part of the chorus. This was an amazing experience, and showed me exactly what it was like to be on a real stage, with a large audience. I enjoyed being a part of it so much that I auditioned for the next show, Under Milk Wood in my second term and got a cast role!
Also, every term there is a LAMDA evening, which I have decided to attend every time, as I plan on doing LAMDA exams and I think it will help me get a feel for what the examiners are looking for, and will provide good experience for the future. In Autumn Term 2010, I am planning on going on holiday with Stage2 to Butlins, which is a tradition for every year, and I am also told that it is good fun.
Stage2 is a wonderful place, where everyone is friends and no one is left out, and I feel extremely proud to be a part of this wonderful company. |
