I heard about Stage2 from a friend who I have known since I was five years old. We both left our old youth theatre group so when I heard that she had joined a new one; I knew I had to see a show that she was in. So I went to see Spoonface Steinberg and I was so impressed by the standard of acting, that I decided that I wanted to join the company. So a couple of days later, I was booked and ready to begin. When I walked through the doors on my first day, I was so nervous, but when I met the Mentors and the Tutors those feelings just went away. In my first term, I was a chorus member for A Midsummer Night’s Dream as well as taking my first LAMDA exam. Both gave me the confidence to audition for The Permanent Way. I was so happy when I discovered I had been cast! Being cast was one of the best things ever - I made tons of new friends! This term I am in the cast for Under Milk Wood and so far, I love it! I am also going to doing Musical Theatre LAMDA and Arts Award and I have even joined the Marketing Committee and entered myself for the BDTG contest! I have enjoyed everything I have done at Stage2 so far. I am always meeting new friends, having lots of fun and getting valuable experiences. The best thing about Stage2 to me is the opportunities that it offers you. It gives you everything from meeting new people to being able to get help for drama school auditions. It can take you anywhere! But not matter where I end up going in life, I know that Stage2 will be one of the biggest and most valued experiences to have had and I can’t wait for the hopefully many years ahead of me here! |
