Information: I first heard about Stage2 from my sister, who was already a member. Seeing as my sister was doing shows, I went to see them. After seeing a few sharings I had an idea what Stage2 life would be like: Fun, Friendly and Full of good times. So after my 9th birthday, I joined right away. At first Stage2 was a bit scary, EVERYONE was taller than me and I just wanted to not be alone, so for my first term I stuck to my sister like glue. But I look back and laugh and wonder why I was so scared. I have loads of memorable experiences. From “The Snow Queen” to “Midsummers” (with many more to come I’m sure); the one that instantly comes to mind is when it was admin in the old Link building and it was summer. Almost everyone was carrying those little battery-powered fans. I have no idea why but that is my clearest memory. Whilst at Stage2 I have had many roles: Chorus, Cast, Mentor, Marketing committee member and overall just a member. I have also taken part in loads of options! There was: Chorus, General Drama, Musical Theatre, Cast, and General drama again, Chorus, More chorus, a devised show, Cast, Cast, Cast and again, Cast! I love the opportunities Stage2 gives to young people like Butlins and LAMDA and training for first aid. I have gained an awful lot from Stage2. I have gained a sense of organisation and a confidence boost. I have made so many friends and can’t put down in words how grateful I am that I have my little release on Saturdays where I can get away from everything and just be in my own little world of Drama.

The acting of every single one of the children / young people was excellent; the sound and lighting were expertly handled; and the direction was superb in all respects.  Spoonface was a production that would not have disgraced the West End
