Information: When I joined Stage2 I was very shy and quiet so I was a little apprehensive about joining such a large company. I immediately discovered that these fears were unfounded as everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Before joining I had taken part in some school productions where I really got interested in drama so I was keen to develop my skills and get more involved. My first term I took part in General Drama, which built my confidence massively as I made new friends and learnt basic drama techniques. I then auditioned for my first show and was very happy to get a cast part in Oliver; I loved the entire process especially the production week where all the work came together. I also decided to do my first LAMDA exam in Acting. This was very useful as it was one to one tutoring and really developed my knowledge of acting. I later got interested in mime and how you can convey thoughts and feelings through movement, so I took a Mime LAMDA exam where I learnt to control even slight movements and focus on expression. Doing both Acting and Mime have been really useful, something I have greatly enjoyed and will be continuing in my time at Stage2. I also had the opportunity of Assistant Directing Spoonface Steinberg; I loved the backstage element of putting a show together as I was involved in the Get in and Tech and loved seeing our set, lights and sound all fit together to create a 5 star production. Stage2 has been a fantastic source of support, friendships and opportunities of which I have benefited greatly from. It is something that I am incredibly grateful of and something that has been an integral part of my youth.

For me Stage2 is more than just a theatre company, it is a community. It has given me a direction in life. A place in which for the first time I have felt truly accepted‚ A place in which I can honestly say I have had more wonderful moments in a year than I have had in my whole life.
