I first heard about Satge2 off a friend who worked for the company. When I first came to Stage2 I was so nervous I couldn't even speak to anyone and not knowing anyone was very daunting. However my nerves seemed to melt when I started speaking to people and found everyone incredibly friendly. As the weeks went on I started to realise that this wasn’t just a youth theatre but it was company that offered amazing opportunities to anyone regardless of any reason. I started trying do as much as possible as I was an older member joining the company and wanted to gain as much experience as I could before I left. In my first term I decided to do Shadow of Gunman Chorus which involved filming and General Drama which was so much fun. I also joined both the Marketing and Fund raising Committees to give back something to the company for helping me. My first show on stage was A Midsummer Nights’ Dream, which was stunning. I was in chorus playing a member the court. I also decided to do LAMDA exams, which gives you one to one tutoring. It gave me enough confidence to audition for The Permanent Way. When my name was called out that I had been cast I was so happy. Stage 2 has changed my life and I will never forget what they have done for me I am truly thankful. |
