Information: I first became interested in acting after I auditioned for and got the part of Fat Sam in my year 6 production of Bugsy Malone. Soon after, I joined a youth theatre and after learning lots of useful acting techniques and appearing in two productions I felt it was time for me to move on. I first heard about Stage2 from a friend, who went to school with a lot of Stage2 members. After hearing so much about it I decided Stage2 sounded like the place for me, so as soon as September arrived I joined. In my first term at Stage2 I jumped straight into the hard hitting Crucible as a chorus member. This was a great option for me as it gave me an insight into just how amazing and professional a Stage2 production is. At the intro I also heard lots about LAMDA so I went to a LAMDA showcase evening to watch. As soon as I had seen the first few pieces I was sure that I wanted to do LAMDA. I now have passed all my exams to grade 4 and I hope to do more exams. My second term started just a week after production week ended! Being so physically and mentally exhausted after the Crucible, I decided that I would take a break and explore a different aspect of the company so I choose to do general drama. I have spent the last 2 years with some of the friendliest and most talented people in the country. I have really enjoyed my time in Stage2 and it has been one of the best times of my life. I hope I have many more years to come with you all. I would like to thank all the tutors as the company would never have been possible without all of their hard work and dedication. Thank you so much for all you have given to the young people of Birmingham.

Stage2 is an inspiration. The way it engages young people in drama through the sheer enjoyment of acting is a role model to which we should all aspire.
