Information: I joined Stage2 because I wanted to be an actress and I also wanted to make lots of new friends. In my first term of Stage2 I did not have the confidence to do the show straight away so I did general drama. It was an amazing term but I did not get to do what I really wanted to do and that was to be on stage. I then left Stage2 for a term because I was cast in a musical. However I came straight back when that was finished and it felt like I was home again. I went straight into the chorus of “Lord of The Flies” and loved it. I did not think it would be my thing but to my surprise I was really interested in the story and it really helped me with my schoolwork too. I then started LAMDA examinations which were amazing and have kept going ever since. I decided to do musical theatre and got results that I never would have expected. After enjoying being on stage so much I auditioned for a cast in “Spoonface” and to my surprise got it. I loved it and never looked back. The show didn’t have a chorus and was performed in thrust, which was quite hard to start with because you had audience to three sides of you; but in the end we were getting 5 star reviews! I have also been cast in “The Permanent Way” which was the best term I have had yet. It was a very technical show and I thought it would be a bit tiring, but with the amazing fun I really enjoyed it. “The Permanent Way” gave me a lot of confidence so I applied to be a Mentor. I was ecstatic that I got it. One thing I have learnt in Stage2 is to never give up. If you go for something and don’t succeed try and try again. Since I have joined Stage2 I have never looked back. I have made so many amazing friends and been accepted for who I am.
