When I was in Stage1, I was so interested with all the plays and acting, I decided to see the productions such as Spoonface Steinberg and The Dream. The standards were amazing. My first summer term was when i made the twelfth night script much easier to understand. Stage1 encouraged me to take one extra level which was the proper acting.
My first ever production was Twelfth Night, (that was my first proper Shakespeare show), I was so scared in the beginning but then my confidence grew bigger and bigger after each day and week.
I’ve done a load of productions for the past few years, the next show i did was Under Milk Wood which I had a sort of main part but i worked with amazing kids and people. I was a young school kid and I sang a lovely and peaceful song.
The most recent production was...James and the Giant Peach which i had a main cast role; i was the blind Earthworm. I was in awe as i saw the huge peach in front of me. Seeing the high quality of the play made me think of all the things i will do in the future.
The next production I am doing is Romeo and Juliet and I’ve got another main role! Since i have passed my KES exams i would have to think extra hard of what I’ll have to do, on the other hand I’m proud to be in one of the best Youth Theatres in the UK! Thank you to friends, tutors, everyone. |
