Information: I found out about Stage2 at Artsfest 2005, and joined later that year. I don’t think I was really ready for a great commitment, so I decided to be in the chorus of Oliver Twist! But as I settled in and got used to it, I loved it! I auditioned in my second term, then got main cast as part of the family in Cider with Rosie, I was thrilled. I didn’t have loads of friends to start with, that’s why I loved working with a new bunch of people and getting to know them. By the end of the term, I was really happy and had many friends. I love what Stage2 offers; it’s those amazing opportunities that makes me smile, and how much work and effort people put into everything. You’re easily able to work hard yet have a really good time, I think that’s brilliant! I was in lots of shows, and enjoyed them all! I had other smaller parts, but my other main one was in Spoonface Steinberg, which I think was my favourite term ever! We worked with a small cast and everyone worked really well as an ensemble and got on with each other, which helped make it one of the best experiences. There was a time when I wasn’t at school for a while and Stage2 offered to let me come and work for them, it was brilliant and I felt really privileged to be able to do work like that. All the tutors and everyone who puts their time into Stage2 really do an amazing job, as well as being generous they’re all genuinely nice people, and that’s pretty much the ethos of Stage2 – it’s full of lovely people who are committed and work hard. And that’s why I love it!

This latest Stage2 offering can only be described as a remarkable piece by a remarkable cast. (Spoonface Steinberg 2002)
