Information: I had always enjoyed drama taking part at plays at school and doing extra curricular awards with it as well but I really wanted some more experience giving me a chance to work professionally as an actor. I went into the Chorus of Teechers when I joined because there was a great buzz about the show and everyone was really enthusiastic about how great it was going to be. I was a bit apprehensive at first but soon I got to know more people and enjoyed rehearsals. It was such a fantastic environment even though I was in the chorus I still felt like an important part of the production. It really built my confidence as an actress working with such a large cast – who were like a family to me. That confidence pushed me to audition. I wanted to be in another play but I mainly wanted to prove to myself that I could audition and get over the nerves and shock of it so I could build up my self-esteem for a more confident audition next term. That’s why I was so surprised when I got a main cast role in Shadow of a Gunman as Mrs.Grigson. I was shocked and scared but so pleased and excited about performing. It has been a great challenge working towards this production and I have found myself making the most of the experience of the others around me to have something to work towards by asking questions and taking advice and developing character through healthy debate within the cast.

Literate, brilliantly paced, totally engrossing and perceptively revealing to the author's true intentions. (Amadeus)
