Information: I joined Stage2 because I was really enthusiastic about drama and friends who were already in the company had talked about how fun and engaging it was. I wanted to take part in something extra curricular to the drama that I did in school that I could be committed to as well as making new friends; which I did in my first term as everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Also, I wanted to take my acting to another level; I had taken part in plays at school but wanted a chance to be in professional productions and have the chance to develop my ability as an actor and learn new skills.

In my first term I was in the general drama workshop as I thought I wouldn’t be good enough to be in the show as I had seen the quality of Stage2 shows before. But I found that being in general drama dramatically built up my confidence in performing and gave me the core skills of acting; leading me to be a chorus member in Teechers. I found being in Teechers a really supportive environment but I recognised the importance of General Drama in Stage2 and decided to interview to be the assistant for it as I wanted to introduce people to all different sides to the company and give them the support that General Drama had given me. I have really enjoyed being an assistant and have learnt organisation, planning and improvisational skills due to it.

This latest Stage2 offering can only be described as a remarkable piece by a remarkable cast. (Spoonface Steinberg 2002)
