Information: I had been doing the Saturday classes at another youth theatre for a while but wanted to do professional shows on a regular basis and after coming across a leaflet at mac about Stage2, seeing that it offered me what I wanted to do I decided to join. In my first term I jumped straight in being in the Chorus of Spoonface Steinberg. The chorus was on film so although I didn't get the full experience of production week I was able to learn an alternate acting skill (which would develop as I continued to take part in plays). Now several years later, after vast progression in the company and broader acting experience including LAMDA qualifications, I am Assistant Directing the first play I was in with Stage2. The concepts of the current play are completely different to those of the previous. Firstly there is no chorus but fantastically hard working cast aged from 7 to 18 of both genders telling the story of a young girl with cancer. What strikes me most about this production is the positivity that the cast portray despite the girl's obvious fate. The team have bonded incredibly well together and although it had been a challenge to find the right level to pitch the level of acting; as to not confuse the younger members or become tedious with the most experienced; it has been an exhilarating experience of which I have enjoyed every second!

I have never seen so many lovely young people together in one place.
