As part of Stage2's Big Lottery project, we have two different committees, one of these being Marketing. On the Marketing Committee you will learn about various different aspects of Marketing that will help you in, not only your professional life, but also your personal life when applying for jobs etc...When on the Marketing Committee you will have at least 2 meetings each term where you will learn professional meeting ettiquette and learn really useful Marketing tools along the way.
Outside of the meetings you are required to do some form of Marketing work for the company and you are able to choose what you want your task to be, also you don't have to work on your own, we can join you up in pairs or groups if that makes you feel more comfortable.
What's so great about both of the committees is that it doesn't matter what age you are or what experience you have (most people don't have any experience when they first join them) you can learn with people of different ages and experience and you will learn off each other and work together extremley well.
I joined the Marketing Committee because I wanted to aid the company's development and wanted to learn more about topics that you can't necesarily do at school/college etc. Once I joined, I knew I had to stay on it because it was so interesting, things were developing every term, and the types of things I learnt help with quite a lot of subjects that you do at school, eg Media. I love that no matter how long you stay on the committee you will always learn something new every single meeting...that's what is so fascinating about it! |
