Stage2’s marketing committee provides a wealth of experience for any member of the company who is willing to work and help promote the company to the rest of the world! The committee meets only twice a term so it’s in no way a massive extra time commitment. However outside of the committee you are required to do a little extra work on your task, but don’t worry, you don’t have to do anything on your own! All of our committee members are willing to work with anybody in the committee on a task, and currently the committee has two leaders in place who are there to help you if you become stuck. Everyone is behind each other 100% and everybody is willing to offer help if you need it. For example, a team of people, all members of the committee, helped to write this booklet, some are not even on the committee. Just proving that every member of Stage2 is willing to help. You don’t need any experience to join the committee (most new members have none at all) as you will be taught everything you need to know, from the specific marketing of Stage2 to more general marketing tools like how to write press releases and take professional standard minutes. The marketing committee is a great way to give something back to the company. You will not only be marketing for Stage2 but also getting hands on experience of marketing outside companies, in past terms members have marketed a small boutique in the middle of Kings Heath and designed leaflets and written press releases to promote it. We also bring in professionals straight from the field to talk to you about their experience and knowledge of marketing. The marketing committee is for everyone and offers a huge range of tasks each term from communicating with the press, to designing t-shirts and pens for the company, and marketing field trips to the Edinburgh Fringe for more experienced members. Don’t worry if you don’t want to take on a huge task for the company either, each term Stage2 has a Stuffing Team which all meet at the Stage2 office and fill envelopes will information about Stage2 all of which get sent out to different companies and institutions and as we are an ever developing company we also collect new ideas for tasks each term from our members so we can guarantee that there will be something for everyone!
