How can I get work experience with Stage2?

There are many ways to get work experience with Stage2. Such as:
-Joining the Marketing Committee:
On the Marketing Committee you will learn about various different aspects of Marketing and get the opportunity to write press releases, design posters, develop new marketing ideas, as well as being taught useful, practical marketing skills.
-Joining the Fundraising Committee:
The committee raises funds for numerous parts of Stage2 – first and foremost the Subsidy Fund; from finding potential funders and trusts to sending off applications. This committee will also provide you with skills based around spread sheets and budgets.
-Applying to be a Mentor:
As a Mentor you are receive training in things like child protection and time management, you learn to work as a team, organise events, interact with members, lead teams and much more. You are given a specific role to develop and the role is very fulfilling.
-Interviewing to be on the Technical Crew:
You gain a great insight into the industry by being in the technical team of a show. You could be a Lighting Operator, Sound Operator, Stage Manager, Assistant Director, Front of House Member as well as having input into print, set and costume design.
-Becoming a Trainee Tutor:
Older and more experienced members of Stage2 may be asked to be a Trainee Tutor. They are given full training and support to enable them to get more involved in the running of the company and the delivery of our programme as they all sit on the Management Team.
-Taking part in Distribution
Distributing Stage2 print helps you to gain valuable marketing experience as well as giving you the opportunity to make new friends. We have at least one Distribution Day a term and any member can attend.

These are all great opportunities to learn new skills, get involved with new areas of the company and are fantastic additions to Personal Statements or CVs. We can also offer school work experience placements to Stage2 members, to be considered you must hand in a written application at least six weeks prior to placement.
