What is the LAMDA Evening and why should I go?

Answer

Every member who is doing a LAMDA exam in areas such as Acting, Mime, Musical Theatre, Choral Speaking and Devised, showcases one of their pieces at the LAMDA Evening. It is a fantastic night out, and every member should be there to support their friends and see a whole range of pieces in a variety of different styles – from members of all ages and all levels of experience. Anyone considering doing LAMDA in the future should go to see the end results. It also provides lots of ideas for people considering auditioning at drama school as there is a printed programme….! The date of the evening is always announced at the beginning of term (and listed on the Stage2 Diary) and tickets are available from the Mentor Manager, in the Marketplace. Members are encouraged to bring family and friends to give them a flavour of Stage2, but should not feel shy about turning up on their own as they will be introduced to lovely people straight away!

We also present our internal Stage2 certificates at this evening for members with excellent Attendance, Attitudes and Achievements, for the preceding term’s work.

I feel not only proud, but incredibly lucky to have been part of Stage2.
